December Favorites

Hey Beautiful people,

So the year is nearly out which means it's my last monthly favorites, this month I've been loving a lot of different products.

The first thing I've been loving is the Seventeen Brow Kit, it comes with brow wax, brow powder, highlighter powder, brow sculpting pencil and a brow brush. I really like this product as it looks really natural, suites everyone so don't be apprehensive about the dark colour of the wax and powder it will suite you! The product is really easy to use and so affordable I think it was about £8.00

I also loved the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer: I'm not sure the number or actual name of the colour, but it's a nudey shade; it's really easy application, I love the fact it's the middle of a lip gloss and lip stick- it has the shine of a lip gloss and the glossy effect - and the thickness/ texture of a lip stick. I also love this collection because they have such lovely colors.

Rimmel London Kate Moss Lip Stick '26': As most of you will know I'm obsessed with the Kate Moss lip stick collection and I've wanted for a while just a really nice nudey natural looking colour lip stick, so when I saw one in this collection I had to buy it! Now I just love it, it looks great for a casual everyday look and it's so affordable.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Pencil 050 Tiramisui: I'm all about lip liners and this is a must have, it's a lovely natural colour and classic casual look and looks lovely with the Kate Moss lipstick above. The thing I love is it's so affordable and that's the same with all the Rimmel London products.

Topshop Matte Black Nail Varnish: At the moment I'm obsessed with matte black, this product has easy application, drys really quick which if like me I'm so inpatient when I paint my nails so this is great for me; it's a really cool look and super on trend.

Boohoo Khaki Parka: This was in a haul a few weeks back and I love it, it's so comfy; literally goes with everything and is such a casual look. It was so affordable especially for how much you use it, I wear it everyday; so I defiantly recommend buying one.

One Direction Midnight Memories: Now anyone who knows me knows I love One Direction, so when the new album came out last month I was super excited! Everyone said that the album is really different and I was a little apprehensive about it but I love it and I think it's the best one yet. It's a lot more rocky and a lot more mature but it's so good, my favorite songs are- Don't forget where you belong, Happily, Little Black Dress, Better then words, You & I and Does he know.

River Island Checked Monochrome Treggings: These are so comfy and super on trend, I love them there so nice if your just at home or when going out there a really nice statement piece. I defiantly recommend that you try them as there lovely and are really nice for everyday look.

These are all the things I've been loving this month, it's a mixture but if you've loved the same things I have then leave a comment or tell me some of the things that you have and maybe I'll try them out too!

Lots of Love

Blogmas Week 3 - Alternative Christmas Cookies

Hello my beautiful readers!

I know I've taken so long to update but as you can tell by the heading that this weeks update is a little different and out of my comfort zone, but it was a lot of fun; so this week I'm going to do a step by step guide on how to make some alternative Christmas cookies.

225g or 8oz of Plain Flour
Pinch of salt
1/4 teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
150g or 5oz of Butter
50g or 2oz of Caster Sugar
1 Table Spoon of Water
Caster Sugar to Glaze
Icing-
50g or 2oz of Icing Sugar
1 Table Spoon of Water
Food Colouring ( Red & Green)
Fluff

The first thing your going to need to do is turn the oven on to 180 or mark 4 depending on your oven.

Then you need to sift the plain flour and cinnamon into a bowl.

Then add the butter and rub between your finger tips, so that the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Then stir in the caster sugar

Create a small well in the middle of the mixture, using a spoon

Add the water into the well, then you want to move the bowl around in a circular motion so that the water has mixed into the mixture.

Squeeze the mixture together so that it looks like dough, you have to repeat the last step before it combines together into a dough.

Then flour the work top so that the dough doesn't stick.

Knead the dough until smooth

Make the dough so that it's into a ball, add more flour to the tops and rolling pin, so that it doesn't all stick together.

Roll until it's as thick as a £1 coin.

Using your Christmas cutters, start cutting out the cookies and placing them on a baking tray (use baking paper so that they don't stick, also saves washing up!)

Repeat the process until all dough is used up.

Using a brush, gently brush water onto all the cookies.

Sprinkle on caster sugar, this just gives the cookies a nice glaze and makes the tops crispy.

Pop them in the oven for around 15-20 minutes.

Once cooked, place them gentle onto a cooling rack.

Whilst waiting for the cookies to cool make up the icing, for this you will need the following (shown in picture to side)

Once you've measured out the icing sugar, split it into two bowls, add a teaspoon of water into each mix until all is mixed in.

Then add food coloring to each and mix again.

Ideally you want them at a medium consistency, so not overly runny but then  not really thick.

Spread the fluff onto as many cookies as you wish.

Once you've done with one, arrange them on a Christmasy plate.

Make sure your happy were you've placed them as you wont be able to move them until ready to eat!

Using a spoon carefully sprinkle the red food coloring onto the cookies.

Then do the same with the green food coloring, as you can see it's works better if you have a fairly runny texture but you still want it quite thick so that there not swimming in icing, also if it's overly thick it will be harder to sprinkle over.

Then using a small sieve, sift over some icing sugar so it looks like snow.

Then your all finished and ready to eat!

I hope you all try this really easy recipe and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! You can make these throughout the year just use different cutters, they always go down a treat!

Make sure you check back tomorrow, where I will be posting my final Blogmas post!

Blogmas- Week 1 - Gift Ideas For Him.

Hey Guys!

Can you believe its December already?! This year has gone so fast!

So I know I'm a little behind on posting but I'm hoping by Wednesday I will be up to date, I've had a crazy couple of weeks with applying for university; as some of you may already know within the first six hours of sending off my application I received two conditional offers! Which is crazy and I didn't expect it to happen so fast, but it did and they were from my first and second choice as well which is what makes it even more a little crazy at trying to keep calm about the whole thing!

Anyway I'm going to do separate post on all things about applying for uni and the more 'serious' part of my life in the coming weeks, so for now lets talk this blog post. So as some of you may know during December and the coming days leading up to Christmas many chose to take part in Vlogmas on YouTube, which is what I thought about doing but decided that my life at the moment is incredibly boring! seeing as I'm still at sixth form; but I do really want to get everyone in the Christmasy feeling and decided to come up with Blogmas, which means every week before Christmas  I will post a blog post on something Christmasy and week 1 is gift ideas for him, so here it goes..

So I thought that I'd change things up and write a post that was about men, seeing as I'd never written anything about mens fashion before, I know however that I do have some male readers and that's nice to know that it's not only girls that read my blog. I have so many friends that just don't have any idea what to buy a guy because I'm guessing after a while aftershave gets a little boring and you guys want something a little different this year! So for my first Blogmas I've decided to help you all out and give gift ideas for guys.

I went to the one person who I knew could help me out in this kind of thing and that was one of my guy friends and best friends boyfriend Jimmy ( I'll leave his twitter below so check him out!) He gave me a list of gift ideas that guys would like and I've put four that I thought were really good ideas, I know two of them are ridicously priced and buy them for anyone! But someone of you will know someone that deserves such an expensive present..

So here they are!

Gift ideas:

Joop Jump Gift Set 50ml - £29.99 + shipping
www.fragrancedirect.co.uk

Matrix Beach Clay for Beach Style Hair 100ml - £8.10 + free delivery

H&M Skinny Low Jeans Light Denim - £29.99 (not sure about delivery charges)
www.hm.com

DKNY Watch NY1519 - £123
www.watchshop.com

I hope this helped some of you, with ideas or inspiration for gifts for the male kind! I will be back tomorrow for gift ideas for her! So tomorrow I will be helping all the guys and maybe some of the girls for gift ideas for girls because I know were hard to buy for!

Please share with your friends my blog it would be much appreciated!

Lots of festive love
