News and Update!

Hey all you beautiful readers!

So I have news! I've just created a YouTube account where I will be posting videos of hauls, some hair and beauty tips as I've been asked loads of times by friends for videos and blog posts on this and I’ll also be posting videos of some other bits as well. I'll put the link at the end of this post for the official CarriesClosetxo YouTube channel; I will tell you when I've posted a video!

Also I've been commented by some friends that I should post a little bit about me, as none of you really know me as a person. So here it goes:

My names obviously Carrie, I’m a student at sixth form studding travel and tourism, business and food; I really want to go to Southampton University to study writing fashion and culture as it doesn't just concentrate on journalism. As some day in the future I don't just wish to be a blogger but have my own little empire that will be CarriesClosetxo, in my little empire I want a few shops around the world with my own clothing range and beauty products as I don't just love fashion I love hair and beauty as well!

So that's a little about me and what I really want in the future obviously I won't achieve most of it without hard work but I’m willing to work for it.

If you do follow the closet on twitter ( @CarriesClosetxo ) then you will know that after going to a meeting last week that I found out that I need to complete some work experience in the fashion industry to even be considered for uni, so I've been doing some research into work experience over the summer. If any of you have completed work experience at a magazine or in the industry then please email me and tell me about how it went for you as it would be really appreciated; I also need to create a portfolio I’m not really too sure what they would want in this so again if you know or have any advice please get in touch!

So that's it for today, I promise I will try and post again this week I know I say this every week but I am going to try this week!

Thank you!

Love

www.rarelondon.com - Review

Okay so a few weeks ago I posted about a few new websites that I had found and I said once they arrived I’d show you everything that I had got. Well I know it’s really late but here it is!
I just want to start off by saying how amazing the service was! I placed two separate orders one in the Sunday night and another on the Monday night, I paid standard delivery which I think was only just over £1; both orders arrived together on the Wednesday afternoon which I was totally surprised about as I wasn’t really expecting them till the Thursday/Friday.  So the delivery was super quick, the website is so easy to use and the size guidelines where so helpful as I wasn’t really sure wither to get a Small or Medium in something’s, but it was really helpful  Check out and paying was easy which is always handy! The one thing that was annoying was that I wanted to buy the white and brown leather 3 piece set of bags and it wouldn’t let me add them to the basket, so instead I brought another dress… why not aye!
Anyway now for the best bit the newest additions to closet are the above photo’s, on the top row of pictures is a black lace and fridge jacket which I adore I’ve been wearing it with everything! It’s very on trend and looks fab when paired with the right outfit I’ve been wearing mine with disco pants, putting the two textures and fabrics together looks so edgy and I love it.
The next line of photo’s is of a brown/reddish dip hem dress with white lace on the chest area, it did come with a brown belt but I didn’t really like the belt it came with so I wear a different brown belt with it but it looks really nice. Were the belts hops are placed on the waist it pulls you in and makes your waist look a lot thinner than it is… Fantastic! The dip hem is still so trendy, but on this dress the back is really long however that maybe because I’m a little on the short side so I wear this dress with my nude Jeffery Campbell heels and it looks so good together and will look so nice in the spring when out with some friends.. Can’t wait.
The next photos are of a black silk and white pearl dip hem top, it’s a really nice top and I can’t wait to wear this out somewhere really nice. I’m thinking of wearing this with a pair of leggings maybe? Anyway the detailing on the front of the top is so beautiful and has a vintage feel to it… which is a good thing because I love vintage! I must confess this is a little tight around my chest area so I do recommend if you do have problems with finding things that go over your boobs that you get a medium! As a small is quite tight.
The next picture is the red velvet dress with white detailed collar which does do up and does lead to a cheeky bit of flesh showing on the chest area. Now the photo doesn’t really show the dress to its full potential as my lighting is really bad in my room, but it gives a basic look of the dress. This is one of my favourite dresses I own as it’s really classy but also really sexy; makes you look really thin! I love the colour red and the velvet material is so different and makes it so on trend.
The last photos are of the strapless pink and black dip dyed fridge dress,  I did originally want this in black and nude but they didn’t have my size so I decided to get the pink and black one as I’ really in patient and couldn’t wait until they had it in my size. Anyway I love this one just as much; it really defines your curves and makes your figure look super sexy. The fringing is so on trend at the moment and is really unusual. I love this dress, a must have for every girl!
So there it is my follow up of www.rarelondon.com one of my now favourite sites. Thank you for reading and make sure you let me know what you think of the post and the rest of the blog by tweeting me or emailing me.

High street hidden treasures

Okay so a few days ago I discovered some online shops after reading LOOK magazine, after speaking to some of my close friends they said that they hadn’t heard of the sites either. So I thought if we haven’t then maybe some of you haven’t either, I’ve decided to tell you guys about some of them as I’m now addicted to them! After discovering them I instantly fell in love with them and can’t stop ordering more stuff.

The first one is absolutely my favourite its www.rarelondon.co.uk it’s so cheap! And in two days I’ve spent over £50 that’s in two separate orderings, I just can’t get enough of them. I think every girl should just look and if you don’t love it then you’re clearly mad! I've brought so many things from the sale that were around £50-£60 pound but were £7 or £10 in the sale BARGIN! If you ask me, when they arrive ill defiantly show you all my new additions to my closet.

The next one is www.dasiystreet.co.uk what I've noticed is that they have a lot of prints and bright colours which are still on trend. They have loads of dip-dyed oversized jumpers which is a big thing for spring 2013, so by buying now you’re already ahead of everyone else. The thing that I love on the site is the velvet skirt and shorts there in a plum colour and I can’t wait to buy mine, so on trend and put with the right top and accessories will look amazing!

The next is www.lavishalice.com this website I’ll be honest I haven’t had a proper look at the site but from what I have looked at it looks good, but is a little expensive if you ask me however they do sell vintage clothing which is my biggest fashion love, so they've swayed me!
